Kirschstein-NRSA Stipends, Tuition/Fees and Other Budgetary Levels Effective for Fiscal Year 2026

On March 18, 2026, NIH issued NOT-OD-26-044 to announce the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) stipends, tuition and fees, training related expenses on institutional training grants and the institutional allowance for individual fellows for FY 2026. The stipend for Predoctoral trainees and fellows is $29,364. The stipend for Postdoctoral trainees and fellows begins at $63,480, and increases based on years of experience.
