eRA Commons is an online interface utilized by NIH and other federal agencies (including the Center for Disease Control, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Federal Drug Administration, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and Department of Commerce) where signing officials, Principal Investigators, trainees and postdoctoral scholars at institutions/organizations can access and share administrative information relating to the full grant life cycle, from proposal receipt to award closeout.

eRA Commons Accounts
All requests to create new or update/affiliate existing eRA Commons accounts for UCLA personnel are handled by OCGA eRA Help (erahelp@research.ucla.edu). Below is the required information for account creation:
- First Name
- Middle Name/Initial (if applicable)
- Last Name
- E-mail Address
- This e-mail is used for account information retrieval. For scientific roles, NIH recommends using an e-mail address that the user will have continuous access to, regardless of institutional affiliation, such as a personal e-mail.
- Other organizations/institutions that you’ve been affiliated with as a PI, post-doc, graduate student, undergrad, trainee
- Requested eRA Commons Role:
- Review the eRA Commons User Roles and indicate the role(s) needed.
