UC/State of California Indirect Cost Rate Increase to 40%
On February 19, 2026, the UC Chief Financial Officer approved the State of California Indirect Cost (IDC) rate escalation from 35% MTDC to 40% MTDC effective July 1, 2026. This is the final increase to the UC/State of California rate table and brings the recovery rates for UC/CSU to the originally established final rate increase. UCLA Research Security Training Lookup Tool Now Available
The Office of Research Administration (ORA) has launched the new UCLA Research Security Training Lookup Tool, designed to help campus staff quickly verify whether an individual has completed required sponsor mandated Research Security Training. The Research Security Training Lookup Tool is accessible through the ORA Online Resource Center under the Compliance tab, providing users with a centralized and convenient way to confirm training status.
