S2S Grants is a web-based, third-party system-to-system solution for preparing, validating, and submitting Grants.gov proposals. The Office of Contract and Grant Administration and Office for Research Information Systems began a pilot program utilizing S2S Grants in December 2007 and use of S2S Grants for eligible submissions campus-wide became mandatory in January 2009 (see memo from Vice Chancellor Peccei). Today, this system operates as UCLA’s alternative to Grants.gov’s Workspace for all eligible submissions.

When NOT to use S2S Grants:

  • All NSF submissions, please use Research.gov
  • NIH Multi-Project Applications and Administrative Supplements, please use NIH ASSIST
  • All NASA submissions, please use NSPIRES
  • In the rare instance when a funding opportunity is not supported by S2S Grants, please contact erahelp@research.ucla.edu for assistance.
